They are not traditional hashes of diced meat and potatoes, and each is prepared differently, the common thread being big chunks. The hash is excellent, really standout, with big chunks of protein. Biscuits are popular with everything here, and they are quite good, not the best ever, but better than most, huge, light, airy and with a nice exterior crunch. All are big portions served in the skillet with two eggs, crispy potatoes, biscuits and fresh fruit. Hash options range from traditional corned beef to fan favorite meatloaf to spicy chorizo sausage and even salmon. The most dramatic are the hashes, as in the restaurant’s name, all served in large square cast iron pans, a nice farm-inspired presentation that also holds a lot of food. Instead of a few signature dishes, there are a few entire signature categories. Hoosier pride comes alive at Plump's Last Shot But I go for the breakfast, which is exceptional. It’s great mid-America comfort food, and Hash House does a good job with it. A boneless pork cutlet is pounded flat and thin, then breaded and deep fried, so that it greatly overflows the standard hamburger bun it is served on. The pork tenderloin is a classic regional dish usually found around Des Moines, Iowa and Indianapolis, both of which Great American Bites has visited for this signature sandwich. Not everyone is a fan of the all-day breakfast concept, and looking around, you see many tables with a mélange of breakfast and dinner items: pancakes, burgers and the other notable standout, the pork tenderloin sandwich, sharing a single table, along with hash browns and fries. This is a big key to the appeal of the chain for groups and families, making everybody happy at any time. But if you want one, you can have it at breakfast, lunch or dinner. They are very good, but frankly too big for many, and standout burgers are a dime a dozen, especially in Vegas.

The special touch here is that they are big and “stuffed" - you get two 8-ounce patties (a full pound of meat), with toppings in between them. Otherwise it wins acclaim mostly for its burgers, which also make many “best” lists. Most of the brand’s signature items are breakfast dishes, and so are most of its awards: it has been named Las Vegas’ Best Breakfast multiple times by multiple outlets, including the city’s main paper, the Journal-Review, AOL and Spin Magazine. The food: Fun and somewhat gluttonous takes on American favorites is the central theme at Hash House A Go Go, and this theme is well executed, especially at breakfast, which most locations serve all day long or until the mid-afternoon (though hours and offerings at different times vary widely by location, moreso than with most chains).

Reason to visit: Meatloaf hash, other hashes, farm scrambles, flapjacks, farm Benedicts, stuffed burgers As a result, Hash House draws a very mixed crowd, with more family appeal in spots like Orlando, Chicago and San Diego, and more celebratory patrons in Nevada and Connecticut – The LINQ location serves Bloody Mary’s to guests in line when there is a wait. Given the large portions, creative twists on beloved comfort foods, reasonable prices, and specials that include beer with breakfast dishes, it is understandably popular with late-night revelers, early morning recoverers, and anyone seeking hearty all-American fare at any other time of day. It’s located in The LINQ Hotel & Casino in the heart of the Strip (next to the High Roller, the world’s tallest observation wheel). The brand is best known for breakfast, and while this is certainly the main event, the frenetic atmosphere at Hash House is pretty much the same any time you go, given that the majority of outlets are in casino locations in Vegas, Reno, Nev., and Connecticut (at Mohegan Sun), and many have late-night hours, especially the always crowded and popular Las Vegas flagship, which is open 24/7.
